SponsorBlock Explained
SponsorBlock is a community database of segment timings inside videos: sponsor reads, intros, outros, self promotion and filler. The patch checks each video against that database and skips the segments you choose, so a ten minute video with a sponsor read plays as nine minutes of content without you touching the seek bar. This page is part of the Morphe patcher patching collection.
Segment types are switchable. Skipping sponsor reads while keeping intros is a normal choice, and the patch settings let you pick which segment types to skip, which to show as a skip button, and which to leave alone. The database is community maintained, so popular videos have the best coverage.
Return YouTube Dislike Explained
Return YouTube Dislike restores the dislike count that the stock app hides. The count comes from the same community database approach: viewers who run the extension or patch contribute dislike data, and the patch shows the combined count beside the like count.
The count is an estimate from community data, not an official platform number, so small videos may show no count at all. For popular videos the count is close enough to judge a video before watching, which is the whole point of having it back.
For the next step, see How to Update Patched Apps Safely in the guides, which continues this setup from where this page leaves off.
Setting Both Up
Both patches sit in the video patch list. In Simple mode they are part of the curated defaults for most patch bundles. In Expert mode, switch on the SponsorBlock patch, pick the segment types to skip, switch on the Return YouTube Dislike patch, and run the patch. Test with a popular video that is known to carry a sponsor segment: if it skips, SponsorBlock works.
If segments do not skip, check that the SponsorBlock patch is on and that the segment types you want are set to skip rather than to manual. If dislike counts do not appear, check the patch is on and test a popular video, because a quiet video may simply have no community data yet.

Conclusion
SponsorBlock skips the parts of a video you never asked for, and Return YouTube Dislike restores the count that helps you judge a video first. Both are video patches, both are set before the patch run, and both are tested with one popular video.
